The International Speech and Debate Initiative (ISDI) seeks to expand opportunities for speech & debate competition throughout the world!
The ISDI is sponsored by the Harvard Debate Council. The Harvard Debate Council, a student organization at Harvard College, was founded in 1892 and is one of the most successful and storied debate programs in the world. They host summer programs for high school students as well as numerous online and in person tournaments throughout the year.
The International Speech & Debate Initiative (ISDI) was created to support international speech & debate by expanding opportunities for international competition and by assisting schools around the world with creating a foundation for success. The ISDI works to provide students, coaches, and administrators with the resources to succeed in the world of speech & debate and beyond.
The ISDI is sponsored by the UK-TOC. The TOC is the premier national and international high school speech and debate championship, hosted annually each April by the University of Kentucky since 1972. The University of Kentucky also hosts numerous online and in person qualifying tournaments throughout the year.
