Summer programs are a powerful way for students to hone their skills, connect with national and international peers, and receive personalized coaching outside of the regular academic year from speech & debate experts. For schools participating in the ISDI, summer programs also serve as a vital bridge to long-term growth and competitive success.
These immersive experiences help students refine speaking, research, and performance techniques while gaining confidence in high-level competition formats such as Public Forum, World Schools Debate, Original Oratory, and Interpretation.

The Harvard Debate Council Summer Workshops offer one of the most rigorous and inclusive summer debate experiences available to high school and middle school students globally. Hosted annually on the Harvard campus, this program draws top students, coaches, and instructors from around the world.
